The fauna and flora dance in delight with the warming of earth and air. Movement feels good as our bodies thaw out after a long and wet winter. In a world with so much stimulation and noise it feels good to know that our senses can be entertainment enough.
Sweet rhythm of the Earth.
On the Northern Hemisphere we draw in the fresh in-breath of Spring.
Meanwhile, the Southern Hemisphere exhales into Fall.
This is how the Earth balances and breathes Herself.
Equinoxes are times of great change. So much is happening.
In the North, all around us, the world is coming back to life.
Amidst all the activity, may you still find ease.
It is happening whether or not you try. The change of the seasons is not dependent on your effort.
Today the New Moon is in the highly emotional sign of Pisces.
Emotion = E-Motion = Energy in Motion.
As spring slowly approaches we are entering a time of great motion.
Change and transformation.
"Change triggers the ego mind," said a friend to me yesterday.
Meaning it can be scary. It can bring up emotions. It can spin us out in a mental loop of worst case scenarios. It can take us out of a place of trusting our spirit's ability to guide us or in trusting the natural flow of life.
Or it can not do that.
While the world is abuzz with Holiday preparations and end of the year to-dos, nature invites us to slow down- to pause, even.
For many this is one of the busiest times of year- an extrovert’s dream. Parties, projects, travel, gifts. At the same time our planet (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) pulls inward.
Maybe a part of you wants to be “on” and Merry, while (at the same time) another part of you wants to close down and hibernate.
As you make your way through these final days of 2018, we hope that along with the gifts that you may be giving to others, you give yourself a few gifts too…
It is often said that our bodies hold our memories and traumas; the way your knee aches when it’s cold outside from that injury back in high school, the scar on your finger from when you burned it cooking, the tension in your shoulders from the stress of a new job, and an accumulation of so so so much more. But while our bodies hold evidence of our past they also hold answers to our present and future.
It is through our bodies that we can access our intuition, our inner compass.
