Come explore a different way to meditate and practice yoga! In this workshop, students will learn about our human need for intentional voice work and we will get a brief history of Om. Then, we will start making sound! If you are already feeling uncomfortable about being vocal in a group setting, well, this is just what you need.
Yoga is not always comfortable or familiar. We need to stretch a little and challenge ourselves from time-to-time if we want to go a little deeper.
Whether it is humming, groaning, yelling or singing, we will explore why we should be more vocal. Then we will practice some ancient mantra and chant some variations of Om.
Finally, we will have a yoga asana practice. You will have the opportunity to invite mantra, silent or audible, into your practice to have a more embodied and aware movement practice.
Refunds are given as studio credit. No refunds within 24 hours of event, except in extenuating circumstances.
We do not prorate series classes.
